Zoroastrian MithraismEurope is dying. The Old Europe cannot be saved, but there is a chance for a New Europe to arise from the ashes of the old. We need a new religion that is up to the task of inspiring and directing our people to rise to the challenge of the age.We believe that neither Christianity, nor existing attempts to revive ancient paganisms can fully provide what is needed to re-launch the Irano-European civilizational project out of the chaos of our present condition. We believe that we must embark on a project to develop a new religious movement, one with even stronger roots in our history and culture, able to withstand the storms of the time, and bring up the nutrients needed for the growth of the new. Our belief is that this project should be founded on the twin figures of Zoroaster and Mithras. Zoroaster is the first religious philosopher known to history. Enquiring into the nature of Good and Evil with a rational mind, he inspired the Greek philosophers and provided the foundation of Christian ethics. Mithras is the deity of good social order. He upholds the integrity of the warband, of the tribe and of the wider multi-national society. Known first among the ancient Iranians, he came to be known in Europe too. We believe he is the best candidate to be a common father deity for the European and Euranian peoples. We should emphasize that we are not trying to restore 'Western civilization' but to create a new civilization by going back to the roots of the older 'Irano-European' or Euranian culture out of which it sprung. Geographically Eurania is Europe plus Russia plus Iran and Anatolia and we hope Zoroastrian Mithraism to spread to all these regions. However it is in Europe where cultural and religious failure is felt most keenly today and we believe that it is in Europe that the first shoots of the new religion and civilization will arise. We invite all Europeans and Euranians with the will , including their overseas diaspora, to assist in this new project.
