ProsopaAsa or Asons are 'spirit-beings'. The Prosopa are a particular kind of Asa.A Prosopon is a particular way of the soul, a kind of personality, a spirit-character. There are lots of Prosopa - lots of ways of being - that each tend to produce a different impact on the world. Each of the Prosopa has a particular character, each has a different spirit at work in them. Thus each has tasks that they are better suited to perform than the others. A Prosopon is a 'personality-spirit' . They are partial aspects of the comprehensive creative and right-ordering being that is Auramazda the Wise Lord. Unlike Auramazda the prosopa are often imagined in human form for easier comprehension and because their spirits can be seen in the human personality. "Prosopa are 'persons' or 'faces' of God." The two familiesIn Zartian Mithraism there are 12 Prosopa who we pay attention to. They are constituted into two families:The First Family consists of Mithras, Anhita and five further prosopa who each have a different character and speciality. The members of the First Family can be considered brothers and sisters to each other. They are all on the same level. The Second Family also consist of Mithras and Anhita and five further prosopa who are different to the prosopa in the first family.
